Welcome to SubCut. These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your access to and use of the SubCut mobile application ("App") and any associated services (collectively, the "Service"). The Service is operated by K&D Labs ("we", "us", or "our").
Please read these Terms carefully before using the App. By downloading, installing, or using the App, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree to these Terms, do not use the Service.
1. Acceptance of Terms
By creating an account or linking your financial institutions to the Service, you signify your agreement to these Terms. We reserve the right to amend or replace these Terms at any time. We will alert you of any updates via the Service.
2. Description of Service
SubCut provides a read-only financial tracking tool that identifies recurring subscriptions from your bank transaction history.
- The Service requires secure linking of bank accounts via Plaid.
- The Service is read-only. SubCut cannot execute payments, transfers, or modify balances on your behalf.
- Currently, the Service only supports financial institutions in the United States.
3. Eligibility
To use the Service, you must:
- Be at least 18 years of age.
- Be a resident of the United States.
- Hold a valid account with a supported US financial institution linked via Plaid.
4. Account Registration
To access the core features of the App, you must register for an account using a valid email address. You are solely responsible for:
- Maintaining the confidentiality of your credentials and account access.
- All activities that occur under your account.
- Providing true, accurate, and current email registration information.
5. Plaid Services
SubCut connects to your bank accounts using Plaid Inc. ("Plaid"). By using the Plaid bank connectivity feature, you grant Plaid the right to access and transmit your transaction data on your behalf.
You agree to the processing of your financial details by Plaid in accordance with the Plaid End User Privacy Policy. If you do not agree to Plaid's terms, you may not use the bank linking features of the App.
6. Permitted Use
You are granted a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to use the App for personal, non-commercial purposes. You agree not to:
- Reverse engineer, decompile, or disassemble the App or its components.
- Use automated scripts, bots, or scraping tools to extract data from the Service.
- Circumvent or attempt to bypass security measures, APIs, or database rules.
7. Disclaimer of Warranties
The Service is provided to you on an "AS IS" and "AS AVAILABLE" basis, without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied.
We do not warrant that:
- The Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or fully secure.
- Subscription auto-detections will be 100% complete or accurate in all edge cases. It is your responsibility to verify subscription charges with your card issuers.
8. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, in no event shall K&D Labs or SubCut be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including but not limited to loss of profits, data, or financial loss arising from your use of the Service.
9. Termination
You may delete your account and terminate your use of the Service at any time via App settings. We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your access to the Service without notice if we believe you are in violation of these Terms.
10. Governing Law
These Terms and your use of the Service shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the **State of California, United States**, without regard to conflict of law principles.
